The price of zone control depends mainly on the number of zones and on your distribution system. With radiators we replace the thermostatic valves with smart ones; with underfloor heating we place the control in the manifold. No breaking work is needed, and that saves considerably.
The short answer
The central controller counts too, plus the link to your heat pump or boiler. Three to five zones is enough for most homes. During the survey we decide together which zones make sense, so you do not pay for a layout you will not actually use.
What it depends on
Our advice: do not compare on the bottom line alone. Check whether the same materials, the same warranty terms and the same work are included. A quote that comes out lower because the mounting structure or the grid registration is missing is not actually cheaper.
