The price of an installation consists of materials and labour. For a solar system that means the panels, the inverter, the mounting structure and the cabling; for a heat pump the unit, the outdoor unit, the pipework and the electrical connection. We price the installation per project, not by the hour.
The short answer
What moves the amount most is accessibility and the state of the roof or the existing installation. A flat roof with good access is quicker than a steep tiled roof on the third floor. We assess that during the survey and build it straight into the price, so nothing is added afterwards.
What it depends on
Our advice: do not compare on the bottom line alone. Check whether the same materials, the same warranty terms and the same work are included. A quote that comes out lower because the mounting structure or the grid registration is missing is not actually cheaper.
