What do daylight systems cost?

In depthReading time: 3 minutes

The price of a daylight system depends on the diameter of the tube and the distance between the roof and the room where the light comes out. A short, straight tube to an attic bathroom is cheaper than a long tube with bends to a room on the ground floor.

The short answer

Because no change to the roof structure is needed, installation costs stay limited. Bear in mind that a light tube uses no electricity and that the mirrored section carries a 25-year warranty; the cost per year of light is therefore low.

What it depends on

We supply first-class products and materials only. That is not the cheapest choice on the day of purchase, but it is the cheapest over the lifetime. A system that lasts twenty years and delivers the promised yield throughout is ultimately better value than one that starts faltering after eight.

Our advice

Start with a conversation and a survey, not with a price from a table. Every home is different, and it is exactly that difference which determines what a solution delivers for you. More about daylight systems can be found on the corresponding page.
