A heat pump requires an investment up front, but national schemes reimburse a good part of it. Many people miss out because they do not know where to start. In this article we set out the main points.
The amount depends on the type of heat pump and its capacity. An air/water heat pump falls into a different category from a water/water version, and a hybrid set-up into another again. The amounts are set annually, so always check the amount that applies at the moment you apply.
With most schemes you apply after the installation has been carried out and paid for, with the invoice and the appliance's registration number. There is a deadline: wait too long and you lose your entitlement. We make sure you receive the right details from us as soon as the work is handed over.
The schemes often reward combining measures. If you insulate at the same time or also fit a solar water heater, the total amount can be higher. That is technically sensible too: a heat pump performs best in a home that also holds on to the heat.
If you are a business owner, the Energy Investment Allowance, the Environmental Investment Allowance and Vamil are worth looking at. They let you deduct part of the investment from taxable profit or decide yourself when to depreciate. Our energy coach includes this in the advice for your premises.
In practice this subject belongs with zone control and solar water heaters. There you can read how we work and what is possible, or you can request a no-obligation quote straight away.
